Attention

Developing our attention muscle is one of the key skills in cultivating mindfulness.

We all know what attention is and may people would assume that they can control their attention. When we start to develop a greater awareness of our attention, we realise that, from from the control we assumed, that our attention has a life of its own.

What makes this powerful is that we’re habitually identified with our attention – so when our attention shifts – we tend to self-justify where it goes.
